Dr Jackie Yiu is a specialist periodontist who prides himself in providing gentle, compassionate care to all his patients.
He completed his Bachelor of oral health and Graduate Diploma of Dentistry with distinction. Following this, he completed his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry, and specialist training in Periodontics and Implant dentistry at the University of Queensland. He is also accredited by the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP), one of the most internationally recognised societies of periodontal specialists.
Dr Jackie has also received multiple academic and research awards during his professional career. He received the University of Queensland’s Best Postgraduate Research Presentation Award, as well as Prof GJ Seymour & MP Cullinan Research Medallion Award.
He is also an active member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI), Australian & New Zealand Academy of Periodontists (ANZAP), and the Australian Osseointegration Society (AOS). Dr Jackie is also the Treasurer for the Australian Society of Periodontology (QLD branch) and on the executive committee for AOS.
Dr Jackie is committed to supporting his fellow colleagues and sharing knowledge with the dental community. Outside of work, he enjoys attending dental conferences, cycling and spending time with his family and friends.
